CLASSICAL PILATES
Pilates can suit anyone: all ages, different physical abilities and varying fitness levels. Pilates can help to prevent injury, relieve back pain, decrease stress, increase strength, flexibility, balance and co-ordination.
REHABILITATION
Pilates can be adapted for specific injuries, rehabilitation after illness and benefit those with existing medical conditions e.g Multiple Sclerosis, stroke, cancer and many others.
ANTE AND POST NATAL
(Not recommended for before 16 weeks of pregnancy and not until after 6 weeks post delivery and 10-12 weeks post C-section)
Pilates can be adapted to suit the changes to your body that occur during pregnancy and to relieve any pregnancy-related aches and pains. It can also help prepare your body for labour.
Post-natal Pilates can help you get back into shape more quickly and promote better posture and strength for lifting and carrying your baby.
At Pilates Therapy you will be seen by a fully qualified Physiotherapist, also a qualified Pilates Instructor (see about Sarah Sessa) so you can have the confidence that you will benefit from a Pilates programme that is both effective, and above all, safe.
